 1) Clarence Shepard, amerikanischer Schriftsteller, * New York 18. 11. 1874, ✝ ebenda 28. 12. 1935; bekannt durch seine autobiographischen Romane, in denen er humorvoll die viktorianischen Züge seiner großbürgerlichen Familie schildert.
 
Werke: God and my father (1932); Life with father (1935; deutsch Unser Herr Vater, übersetzt von H. Fallada; dramatisiert von H. Lindsay und R. Crouse, 1939); Life with mother (herausgegeben 1937; deutsch Unsere Frau Mama); Father and I (herausgegeben 1940).
 
 2) Doris, eigentlich D. von Kạppelhoff, amerikanische Filmschauspielerin und Sängerin, * Cincinnati (Ohio) 3. 4. 1924; seit 1948 zahlreiche Filmrollen, vorwiegend in Filmkomödien.
 
Filme: Der Mann, der zuviel wußte (1955; mit dem Lied »Que sera, sera«); Bettgeflüster (1959); Mitternachtsspitzen (1960); Ein Hauch von Nerz (1961); Jumbo (1962).
